Like Yokohama’s original PARADA Ultra High Performance tires, the first thing about PARADA Spec-2 that grabs your attention is its wild-looking, asymmetric tread design. And when you combine that with its ultra low profile sizes designed to complement the large diameter wheels used on the most impressive street tuned vehicles, you’ll find that PARADA Spec-2 tires exude performance. Like all summer tires, PARADA Spec-2 tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
The biggest reason for the PARADA Spec-2’s enhanced performance is its high grip, silica-reinforced tread compound. This new tread compound is molded into an asymmetric, ultra-low void outer shoulder tread design that uses large tread blocks to provide rubber-to-road contact that reduces tread squirm thus enhancing response and dry road cornering control. Massive diagonal tread blocks reach across the tire’s footprint to further increase cornering stability and dry road traction. A solitary, ultra-wide Circumferential Groove helps water flow through the tire while long, helical grooves evacuate water from under the tire’s footprint to increase driving confidence in wet conditions. Internally, twin steel belts are reinforced by spirally-wound nylon strips to provide long-term durability under high speed conditions while reducing weight and providing a more uniform ride quality.
NOTE: As a result of the increase in grip, PARADA and PARADA Spec-2 tires cannot be mounted on the same axle. If mixed in axle pairs on a vehicle, PARADA Spec-2 tires must be used on the rear axle with the original Parada tires used on the front axle.
These have better performance than the widely criticized original Parada tire. In my opinion the Spec-2 tire does a much better job delivering on it's promises, and can compete with most of the comparable tires in it's price-range.

This is an absolutely amazing tire. I have been able to take curving mountain roads at speeds of more than 20 MPH faster than with an all-season radial. Iwouldn't reccomend anything lower in profile than a 40/ R18 if you are going to be driving in California or you can say good bye to your beautiful rims. Roadnoise level is acceptable for such a high performance tire.

These tires feel like their coated with super glue! Superb stability at high speeds, and they can definately hang with the g-forces of tight cornering. Despite the weight of my car, a LOT less pushing occurs. Also, much more durable to heat and pushing than you typical all weather tire. And nice and cheap too! Ok to abuse, and won't cost you a fortune to replace!

I have Yokohamma 225/40 ZR 18 92W on my supercharge Matrix. I get better traction then with slick's. I have the two service bills for broken axles to prove it. They also work real well with my coil overs. I can take corners at will. EXCELLENT TIRE !
These tires have an interesting an unique tread pattern. It does somewhat good in rain. These tires where out pretty fast on a very negative cambered car... but EXCELLENT traction in Dry Weather.
