I highly highly highly suggest upgrading your transmission fluid and springing for the expensive stuff. The RSX's transmission is infamous for being notchy and sometimes grinding 2nd/3rd gear. I too had these problem until my REdline MT-90 replaced the OEM fluid. I have not had a single grind since October of 2003. The boys at Redline know their stuff... cheers.
I run a mix of 2qts MT90 and 1qt MTL in both of my cars (91 Talon & 92 GVR-4) and it's amazing the difference that it makes. The notchiness has gone away, and it's extremely easy to do very, very fast shifts without any kind of grinding. The $12/qt that it costs is cheap insurance, in my opinion. I also run lightweight shockproof in the rear differentials and the transfer cases.
