Unique only to the Omni-Power product line, our light weight front lower control arms (FLCA's) are forged with premium T6-2014 aluminum. Vulcanized hard rubber bushings are used with a 25% increase in stiffness. Each control arm is then hard anodized to eliminate corrosion and maintain a show quality look. Omni-Power uses a solid design for added strength and is currently the only company to offer an aluminum FLCA for EG.EK,DC model vehicles. We chose the solid design for one reason and one reason only.....SAFETY. While driving if an object in the road hits the FLCA with a hollow design it can brake the control arm and cause the vehicle to loose control. Added material means added strength and greater torsion resistance. These FLCA's are a direct replacement for the front 2 piece design and require no modifications for an easy install. Typical weight savings is approximately 7+ pounds depending on the vehicle model. Each nut or bolt attaching the FLCA to the vehicle including the ball joint torques to 38 ft/lbs + or - 2 ft/lbs. If ball joint removal is required to change an axle or other part, use of a pickle fork is needed. Never use a hammer to release the ball joint from the FLCA, as this will damage the FLCA and cause it to fail. This item is intended for off road use only and has no warranty stated or implied.
