The MSD 8 Dual Coil CD ignitions deliver up to 345 millijoules with over 480 primary volts to ignite whatever alcohol or nitro racers can push into the cylinders, even in engines with massive compression ratios. These ignitions produce extremely high-energy sparks, combined with a long duration spark series below 3,000 rpm. A coil coupler is built-in to increase spark duration and protect the ignition against voltage spikes. They provide unbelievable power to two coils, for engines running heads that use dual spark plugs per cylinder. A single crank trigger is all it takes to fire both channels of the ignition. They're wired with a special weathertight connector for easy plug-in installation of the available MSD Engine Saver, to protect the engine from overrev damage.
