These 4-Cylinder Programmable Digital-7 Plus ignitions from MSD have an output power and Individual Cylinder Management timing system that are hard to beat. They have an upgraded energy output of 250 mJ per spark, and a voltage output of 530 V. These upgrades enable them to ignite nearly any fuel, under the extreme boost pressure of today's 4-cylinder race engines. At the heart of these ignitions is a 15 MHz micro-controller that analyzes and manages every trigger signal. Their capacitive discharge circuits and state-of-the-art IGBT coil drivers work together to deliver a potent spark that can easily handle high cylinder pressures. Below 3,300 rpm, a series of sparks burn in the cylinder over 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation, producing a smooth idle with great throttle response. You can control all of this spark energy through an array of timing and rpm programs. These programs include: Individual cylinder timing that can program up to 10 degrees per cylinder in .1 degree increments, a launch retard that lets you retard the timing up to 15 degrees for 0-2.5 seconds after the launch, a launch timing curve, and a run curve enabling you to plot a timing curve in .1 degree increments per 100 rpm. They also feature a 3-step retard, a gear retard that can retard timing up to 5 degrees with every gear change, a start retard, three rev limiters, a shift light, and an rpm-activated window switch. You can also map a complete timing curve for every gear, set stage retards to ramp timing, see updated X-Y plots with interpolation for smooth changes, view all ignition events in a new Launch History window, acquire 20 seconds of run data including two seconds prior to launch, program an rpm that is ramped-in during the launch, and select vacuum advance and boost retard through a MAP sensor. They are designed to be used on 4-cylinder engines, and are supplied with the Pro-Data Plus software, a PC harness, vibrations mounts, and wiring. An optional hand-held MSD Programmer Monitor is available separately.
These MSD Digital SCI Plus ignitions deliver high output Capacitive Discharge (CD) sparks for complete fuel mixture combustion, especially at high rpm. They feature a retard stage to handle nitrous, making sure you don't get detonation from increased cylinder pressure, and a rev limiter that assists with firm launches. The 15 MHz micro-controller is the fastest of all digital ignitions, and gives you a smooth rev limit and precision timing. Easy-to-use rotary dials make adjusting the launch limit and retard amount simple and easy. MSD designed them to install easily on most 4, 6, or 8-cylinder engines with a distributor.
At higher rpm, stock inductive ignitions cannot produce full power sparks, resulting in a loss of power or misfires. That's where the MSD SCI and SCI-L ignitions come in. They feature CD circuits that deliver powerful sparks at over 10,000 rpm. They're always at full power! Below 3,000 rpm, the SCI ignitions produce a series of sparks that last for 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation. That gives you smooth idle, quick starts, and even faster throttle response. The SCI-L ignitions have the same features as the SCI ignitions, plus the added bonus of an adjustable rev limiter.
This is a must for any one who is wanting to upgrade their ingnition.I put this this on my integra and i have noticed that startup is a lot easier and there is less lag when i mash down the throttle.Anybody who has a sport compact should get one.

Currently on my prelude and i can say i noticed an increase right off the bat in spark, acceleration, and fuel mileage. Add increased ignition for when you are running a 100 octane or nitrous. A great product for a mildly tuned to higly tuned car that dosen't want to spend a wad of money on a stand alone.
