Fidanza Flywheels are made using the highest quality and most modern materials available. The flywheel itself is made from either 6061 T6 or 2024 T3 aluminum depending on the model. Both of these materials are tempered aluminum which are very, very strong yet very lightweight. The friction surface is very special. Fidanza uses a 1050 high carbon, alloy steel. This alloy is perfect for this use. It is incredibly durable allowing the use of just about any clutch disc material available from organic to Kevlar and even sintered iron. Fidanza attachs the friction surface using aerospace nuts and bolts or 304 stainless steel rivets depending on the application. These are some of the best fasteners money can buy. Fidanza chose them because of their incredible shear strength and resistance to corrosion. All Fidanza ring gears are heat treated for durability. It is CNC machined at a constant surface speed for durability and finish. The friction surface is very special. Fidanza uses 1050 high carbon, alloy steel. It is incredibly durable allowing the user to use just about any clutch disc material available from organic to Kevlar and even sintered iron. The friction plate can be machined or replaced as needed. The plates are secured with 16-20 hardened aircraft quality screws with self locking nuts which prevents any warping. Fidanza uses hardened ring gears that are swarted to the flywheel, with button head screws that are counter board between the flywheel and ring gear to prevent any possible slippage. The mass at the center of the flywheel is retained for strength, but the mass at the outside is eliminated for optimum performance.

Hmmmm, how can I describe this...........WOW! What a difference this made. Granted, the Evo flywheel is light from the factory, every pound counts. Very well engineered. Now I must say, you will have to learn how to drive your car all over again. This is not a bad thing in my opinion. The revs will climb a lot faster, and they will drop a lot faster. Your car will rev like a Ferrari and depending on your supporting mods, you can easily beat one in this car :)

Flywheel made a great difference! Car revs faster; but watchout revs also drop faster between shifts!!! Great for throttle response good upgrade when replacing your clutch.

This flywheel matched with an Exedy Organic Clutch has done wonders performance wise. As everyone else has already stated my car revs up as fast as it drops them. Throttle response is also grealty increased. I have driven cars with aftermarket flywheels that were difficult to start on hills with but the fidanza, starting on steep hills is as easy as it was with the OEM flywheel.
I highly recommend this flywheel, it has been one of my best upgrades!
