Only a few automatic transmissions are equipped with drain plugs from the factory removing the pan to drain the fluid can be a mess. Simply remove the pan once, drill a hole, bolt the B&M Drain Plug Kit in, and eliminate messy oil splash forever. Non-magnetic.
For drag race vehicles that have a hard time maintaining consistent transmission fluid temperature. With the (#70266) B&M Supercooler you have the B&M Environmental Control System. This system will assist in maintaining the proper transmission fluid temperature (160 - 200 deg.). The canister is designed as a high pressure inline fluid reservoir (not just a sump), keeping transmission fluid temperatures under control, so internal parts will maintain consistent temperatures and consistent forces will be delivered to each part - resulting in back to back runs that are almost identical. Made from aluminum with O ring sealed ends that can be rotated for optimum inlet and outlet locations. Mounting brackets are included. For best results, keep the mounting location close to the transmission.
This kit will allow you to adjust the shift point of your transmission after it is installed in your vehicle. It is very useful if you have a vehicle that is very light or if it has a low rear end gear ratio or if it is a conversion.
B&M has designed a locking short dip stick in conjunction with the newly redesigned trans shield to attach directly to the servo cover. The screw-on cap is precision machined billet aluminum with a knurled finish and O-ring seal to prevent leaks. The dipstick plugs into the transmission with a sealing grommet (standard equipment on most new GM transmissions).
These overhaul kits are supplied with all the gaskets, seals, bushings, and friction material required for a complete high performance or racing transmission overhaul. SFI approved to SFI 4.1 specifications. B&M shields are manufactured of lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and include all necessary hardware. B&M units fit properly and are easier to remove and install. The Powerglide unit has been redesigned with an added pem nut to the right side which allows a dip stick tube to be bolted to the shield and additional clearance has been added to the cooler fitting location for installation of quick release fittings. The lower belly strap allows installation of a shifter cable bracket (two holes have been added to the strap for deep pans). These changes have been made at the request of the racers. This redesigned unit has been SFI approved.
