The AEM UEGO Wideband Gauge provides one of the best ways to read your air fuel without a laptop!

We like the AEM UEGO Gauge because its a single channel analog output gauge with a Bosch Wideband O2 sensor all in one unit. The AEM UEGO gauge features a LED readout and a sweeping LED display that changes colors as the Air Fuel Ratio changes from rich to lean.

The AEM UEGO gauge is 52mm or 2 1/16 inch, and fits into most gauge pods.

We like this gauge while dyno tuning to get more accurate numbers than just our wideband readings alone. If you are local to our race shop in Hayward, CA (Bay Area), please stop by, as we offer package deals that includes install of this gauge in your downpipe or header, and dyno pulls.

Note: Only part number 30-4100 comes with an oxygen sensor. The other gauges are only the display unit.

What is a UEGO?
UEGO stands for Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen sensor. It is the most accurate, fastest responding type of air/fuel ratio (AFR) sensor available on the market today.

Why do I need an AFR sensor?

If you are going to modify your engine in any way, knowing the air/fuel ratio is critical to prevent leaning out and potentially destroying the motor.

I saw an AFR gauge online $80, isn't this the same thing?

No! The vast majority of O2 sensors are of a simple "switch" type. They only say that you are rich or lean, but not what your actual is. For tuning purposes, these types are sensors are useless.

I have an aftermarket fuel injection computer. Can I use the AEM UEGO with it?

Yes. We supply the calibration for the 0-5v output and you simply hook up the UEGO module to your O2 sensor input wire.

Why is there a sensor and also a module? Is the module a heater controller?

UEGO type sensors output a small current that must be conditioned and corrected based on a number of operating parameters. This is what the module does. Without the module, the sensor is useless. The majority of the sensor’s "brains" are on the module. Also included in the module is the heater controller, but it is relatively trivial.

Can I change the sensor’s connector?

No. There is a laser etched calibration resistor in the sensor’s connector body. This resistor is specifically created for the exact sensor that it is attached to. Modifying this will invalidate the sensor’s output.

Can I run this sensor with leaded fuel?

Yes, but doing so will dramatically shorten the sensor life. It is designed for unleaded fuel.

The AEM UEGO Gauge is very usefull for tunning. Installtion is very straight foreward and simple. The UEGO gauge integrates into the AEM EMS very well, they only downside I have found so far with the gauge is that it doesnt read any richer than 11:1 AFR. If I were to need a wideband again I would definately choose AEM but probably get their External Controler Bundled with a display guage.

I'm currently using this guage, it's wired independently, Very Very accurate . A must have for turbo cars. One issue the O2 sensors don't hold up too well with the use of race gas ( but that's with any O2 sensor). This sensor helped me save my motor more than once. Oh yea takes about 20 minutes to install ( very easy straight forward install)

Really easy install, I also feel it is very accurate and would not run my car without it. Definitely a must have for turboed applications.
