For high horsepower streetcars, combine this high clamp pressure plate with an ACT Street Disc to maintain smooth engagement and obtain high torque capacity. For racing, combine the ACT Xtreme Pressure Plate with the ACT Xtreme Race Disc for the ultimate in torque capacity, durability and quick shifting. What makes these units so unique? The radical increase in clamp load developed from a single specially designed diaphragm. ACT employs several secrets (just good engineering) to maximize load and reduce flex. The result is maximum torque capacity and long life, while maintaining good release clearance for fast, clean shifting. On some units, such as the Eclipse/Talon, ACT gussets the pressure plate cover to reduce flex caused by the high pressure. ACT Xtreme Pressure Plates are made with the same high standard as ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plates. ACT Xtreme Pressure Plates can be found on many of the fastest cars on the track. I used this clutch on my many DSMs, the latest being my 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. Pedal effort was stiffer, but once I got used to it, I didn't want to go back to anything else. I definately recommend ACT to anyone with a DSM. I prefer the 2600, but the 2100 would work fine in lower horsepower cars. Mine has around 380awhp. BTW, I ordered this clutch from Pro Street on Thursday, and it was at my door Monday morning. Quick shipping!

I have this ACT 2600 clutch in my 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST. Simply the best clutch! I have it with a Pro Street lightweight flywheel, and have nothing but rave reviews. Slips well, grips hard, and lasts a long time. This is definately the best clutch for a DSM.

I've had my ACT 2600 for over a year and a half now and it has seen over 30 drag launches at the track and still holds strong. I'm currently using it in a 500awhp + setup and have used it on a near stock setup as well. The pedal pressure was only increased slightly over stock. Using a stainless steel clutch line with this setup is highly recommended to keep air from getting inside the clutch lines caused by the increase in fluid pressure experienced by some cars.

I've had 3 1G DSMs and I've had this clutch in every one and couldn't be happier. The 2600 clutch kit did everything I ever needed it to when it came to launching the AWD. The pedal is very heavy but is very easy to get used to in traffic...lol I've had over 300hp and this clutch performed on the street as well as the track.

I have a 2000 Turbo Honda Prelude and with this Clutch/flywheel and my LSD I have no problem shifting gears and/or launching. I am very impressed my the way it quickly engages and lets you shift smoothly.

The clutch speaks for itself not to hard to push in which was surprising I was expecting something way worse. With the lightened flywheel it makes a perfect compliment. It grips and it grips hard but also good for everyday compute driving.

I received my ai4-xtss ACT clutch fast and with the best price anywhere! I used a Honda Tech discount which got me an even better price than normal. This clutch works great for my turbo b16 and i put down 347 hp @ 13 psi last week! Thanks pro street!
