The Aegis LS4 was developed and is manufactured in the United States as Yokohama’s premium all-season passenger tire. Designed to provide year round traction for everything from the family sedan to the family van, the Aegis LS4 meets the needs of American drivers and their driving conditions. And instead of referring to a premium price when they talk about premium tires, the Yokohama Aegis LS4 was designed to deliver premium treadwear, traction and comfort at a fair price.
The Aegis LS4 features a long wearing all-season tread compound molded into an independent triangular shaped block tread design to provide an impressive balance of dry, wet and snow traction. The Aegis LS4 incorporates a continuous contact center tread rib and Yokohama’s computer generated Contour Profile Theory to develop a tire shape and construction that provides a smooth, quiet, highway ride. Internally, the Aegis LS4’s polyester cord body and twin steel belts help deliver ride comfort and predictable handling.
The Yokohama AVID T-4 allows true Yokohama-style driving enjoyment to be available more economically. The AVID T-4 provides performance levels of handling and grip along with long treadwear, enhanced ride comfort and reduced noise levels to meet a driver's everyday needs.
The All-Season AVID Touring radials were developed by Yokohama to be smooth, quiet and obedient while providing good wet and dry traction, long treadwear and overall value in order to meet the year round driving needs of imported and domestic coupe and sedan drivers.
The Yokohama AVID Touring radial's tread pattern features independent shoulder and intermediate tread blocks combined with continuous center ribs to enhance year round traction while providing ride comfort and reducing noise. The tire's four wide circumferential grooves are combined with lateral grooves and high density sipes to enhance traction on wet roads and in light snow. Internally, the AVID Touring features twin steel belts to provide strength and long term durability, Perflex Sidewall Construction to increase handling response and a Contoured Bead Design for better tire-to-rim fit resulting in a smoother ride.
The AVID TRZ is Yokohama's premium Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sporty coupes, sedans and minivans. The AVID TRZ is designed to provide comfort, longevity, confidence and driving satisfaction across all road conditions, including light snow.
On the outside the AVID TRZ features Yokohama's newly developed silica tread compound that remains more pliable at lower temperatures to increase cold weather traction. The compound is then molded into an asymmetric tread design featuring Three Ride Zones (TRZ). The outside portion of the tread design focuses dry road cornering grip, while the center portion concentrates on water evacuation and the inner portion of the tread design emphasizes winter traction in light snow. On the inside, twin steel belts are reinforced by spiral-wrapped nylon, along with a carcass that sandwiches high-density sidewall filler between polyester cord plies to blend comfortable ride qualities with predictable handling.
