HKS Super Mega Flow air intake systems have been designed to dramatically reduce inlet restrictions posed by today’s sealed factory air boxes in both turbo and naturally aspirated configurations. The unique design of the Super Mega Flow combats the propensity of airflow to move towards surface areas which generates turbulence and reduces airflow capacity, typically a weak point of box-type designs. HKS’ patented super-funnel design, with its vacuum-inducing inner lip, draws air from the filter’s outer edge and directs air away from inlet throat surface areas. The Super Mega Flow filter also uses a honeycomb frame to distribute stress evenly and prevent filter compression which would reduce perfomance. As a result, turbulence is minimized, producing smoother and more even airflow with increased velocity and optimizes air/fuel atomization. Increased throttle response, horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency are all benefits of HKS systems. Super Mega Flow kits are available in vehicle specific applications that come complete with all mounting brackets and hardware for a complete installation or in universal Super Mega Flow assemblies of 150mm or 200mm diameters. All vehicle specific Super Mega Flow kits are CARB exempt per CARB Executive Order # D-186-19.
HKS Racing Suction Kits are limited versions of Super Mega Flow intakes that come with polished aluminum piping and signature yellow SMF filter elements. These kit offer greater airflow and show quality looks from the less restrictive polished aluminum pipes.
HKS’ high-performance Super Filters are a direct replacement for OE panel filters when a stock airbox is required or preferred. Bonded to a flexible nylon frame, they feature the same multi-layer impregnated polyurethane material as in the SMF systems
HKS Super Mega Flow filter cage frames are available in chrome and gold for additional visual distinction in the engine bay. These durable units are direct replacements for the standard 150mm and 200mm black honeycomb frames on all SMF filter assemblies.

The HKS Super Mega flow element is a 2-layer, dual density, wet-type polyurethane filter that uses an impregnated viscid fluid to attract and stop damaging dirt particles from entering your engine. This bonded fluid allows use of a larger pore design for maximum airflow without sacrificing filtration. Standard in the Super Mega Flow is the HKS trademark green filter element. Replacement filter elements are available in Green, Purple, Blue, Yellow and Orange.
TRF Super Filter elements are designed for racing use only and not recommended for street use. They are engineered with a single polyurethane foam layer with larger pores than standard Super Filter elements to allow greater airflow efficiency. As with all HKS filter elements, TRF elements are disposable and should not be cleaned or reused.
