If you are looking for the best performing, highest quality clutches available, then Clutch Masters is what you have been looking for. What makes Clutch Masters different? It starts with a 20-thousandths stainless steel backing on the backside of the friction material. This helps to transfer heat from the lining to minimize clutch fade and ensure consistent performance. From there, they use a modified fulcrum point to increase pressure on the disc but without a substantial increase in pedal pressure as seen with other clutch brands. This is also important in protecting against the destruction of the crankshaft from excessive pressure on the thrust bearing which can happen when the pedal pressure is excessive. Some Extreme duty clutches can push the crankshaft a few thousandths of an inch forward when the clutch is depressed. This is not good at 8000 RPM. Lastly, the pressure plate utilizes a ductile iron casting which gives a much higher burst strength than other grey-iron castings. This gives you the peace of mind that the clutch will not be riding in the seat with you under high rpm use.
An excellent performance upgrade. Lightened steel flywheels are susceptible to shattering under aggressive driving conditions. Because aluminum is lighter than steel, we are able to produce aluminum flywheels utilizing stock dimensions. Aluminum flywheels are perfect for road racers looking for quicker revs. It is also a nice complement for turbocharged cars experiencing lag.
Clutch Masters Twin Disc systems are pure racing technology that also works well in high performance street applications. They are designed to hold tremendous horsepower and torque ratings, while retaining a very smooth operation. By using a smaller diameter clutch assembly, Clutch Masters Twin Discs significantly increase clamping values. The cover assembly is machined from billet aluminum and stronger than cast units. They are available in three specific pressure ratings as well as several types of friction surfaces. They flywheel is machined from Billet 6061-T6 aluminum to meet SFI spec 1.2 for competition in NHRA, NDRA, IDRC, IHRA, SCCA and NASA. Each flywheel includes a replaceable heat shield.
