Hallman Boost Controllers have long been the industry staple for amateur and professional turbo racing enthusiasts. These new Pro Series Kits are some of the best looking boost controllers we've seen, and with Hallman quality and performance backing this product. Be sure that it will perform. The new adjustment system does not require a lock nut to keep it in place, simply adjust the knob and it stays there. Also if the knob is adjusted all of the way out it cannot come out of the controller. This new feature and design provides for a perfect overboost system since none of the internals can be lost since there is nothing that can come out of the controller. You cannot loose your adjustment knob anymore because of vibration or forgetting to tighten the lock nut like on the old style adjustment knob.Dont make the mistake of buying plastic or gimmicky boost controllers when this one is the only one you will need!!

These Hallman boost controllers have been in around since 1995 and have been acknowledged in various magazines including Turbo magazine, and can be found on several drag cars, tested far into the 8s.
We are installing a Hallman Evolution Pro Series Boost Controller into a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. Our shop is located in Hayward, CA in the Bay Area. Visit our site here Pro Street Motorsports.
First lay out your Evolution Boost Controller, and start with the main unit with the hard line cable. Then we drop the lower dash plate on the drivers side. We will be running the hard line through the driver steering boot. We used an Xacto knife to cut a small X into the boot, and used a screwdriver to push through both layers of the boot itself.
Have a friend feed you the hard line from the engine bay, take care to not disconnect or damage any other vacumn lines down here
Insert the cable into the back of the knob assembly provided in your Evolution boost controller package. Tighten the hex screw with the tool provided.
Locate the mounting strap in your package and mount your boost controller in a safe spot away from any moving parts. We mounted ours on the fan shroud.
We ran the cable under the air conditioning piping, and zip tied the cables together securely. Make sure that the cable will not interfere with your timing belt assembly.
Connect the nipple on the side of the Evolution boost controller (output) to the vacumn hose supplied in your kit.
Connect this vacumn line to the wastegate nipple.
Connect the nipple on the bottom of your Evolution boost controller (input) to a pressure source. If your turbo has a pressure nipple on it, you can use that, if not use the pressure nipple supplied in your kit in a intercooler pipe as we did.
Mount the adjustment knob using the screws and backing plate supplied in your Hallman Evolution Kit. You are now ready to enjoy one of the best made manual boost controllers available on the market today!
Q : What if I have an external wastegate?
A : On an externally gated turbo vehicle, the line from the output of the Hallman Boost controller connects to the side port of the external wastegate, the top port of the wastegate should always vent to atmosphere. Do not connect anything here.
I installed the Hallman Manual Boost Controller into my 1990 Talon TSi AWD, and had absolutely no problems regulating boost. Boost was stable, came on quick, and held great to redline. I would definately recommend this boost controller to anyone with a DSM, or any other turbo charged car.

The Hallman Pro is definitely one of the best manual boost controllers I've ever used. Simple to install, hides easily in the engine bay, and easy to use. My Hallman has seen upwards of 35psi run through it on a large turbo setup and has still held strong. It is also easily adaptable to be placed in the cockpit with the Hallman Evolution upgrade kit incase you didn't have the need for in cockpit adjustability when you bought it.

If you own an Evo.....this is a must have. Not only does it reliably hold over 1.5bar, but if you get it in red, it matches the OEM valve cover almost perfectly! Say goodbye to boost taper once you get this baby :)

Probably the best MBC around. This is my 3rd BC in the evo and it by far out performs the others. 22 PSI and no boost taper, the others could do that as well.
