| Q: |
Quick facts about TRU-POWERTM Pulley Systems: |
| A: |
AEM manufactures two pulley systems whenever possible. Typically, these include the power steering and alternator pulleys. In some cases, AEM manufactures an alternator and water pump pulley when the power steering pulley is “pressed” onto the shaft of the power steering compressor. When both the water pump and power steering pulleys are pressed onto the shaft of the given accessory, AEM manufactures a single pulley system for the alternator. |

| Q: |
Will TRU-POWERTM Pulleys slip? |
| A: |
The belt tooth profile on AEM Tru-Power pulley systems are guaranteed to match the OE belt tooth profile to prevent premature belt wear and eliminate any chance of belt slippage. |

| Q: |
Why doesn’t AEM make a crank pulley? |
| A: |
Virtually all of the cars we make Tru-Power pulleys for come equipped with a harmonic damper mounted to the crank from the factory. Aftermarket crank pulleys require the removal of this damper, which is required for engine life. Its removal can cause damage to your engine over time by allowing unnecessary Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) to affect engine operation. |

| Q: |
Can I use AEM pulleys with an aftermarket crank pulley? |
| A: |
We do not recommend the use of our pulleys with an aftermarket crank pulley as it may negatively affect the speed of the vehicle accessories, in addition to introducing engine NVH (see “Why doesn’t AEM make a crank pulley?”). |
| |
| Q: |
I have an engine swap. What TRU-POWERTM Pulley kit should I buy? |
| A: |
You should buy the kit that is designed for the engine you have installed, not the vehicle chassis that the engine is in. |
| |
| Q: |
I have a JDM engine. Is there a TRU-POWER Pulley kit for my engine? |
| A: |
AEM does not have access to all JDM engines and therefore we cannot guarantee that our pulleys will fit on them. We do not recommend using our pulleys on JDM engines as it may void the manufacturer warranty on the pulleys and could potentially damage your accessories. |
| |
| Q: |
I don’t have power steering. Can I purchase only the alternator pulley? |
| A: |
No, AEM TRU POWERTM Pulleys are sold as a system and are not sold separately. We offer single pulley systems for popular applications that do not have power steering from the factory. |

| Q: |
Where can I buy a replacement belt for my TRU-POWERTM Pulleys? |
| A: |
You can purchase replacement belts at any major auto parts store. We typically use Bando belts in our kits and recommend keeping the belt sleeve or recording the part number for future |
